Jess has been exceedingly awesome husband and in the soon-to-be dad arena. He has been making dinners, doing laundry, and running errands. Tonight he planned dinner for us, spaghetti night a la Jess (my favorite -- he does a great sauce). My job was to go to the grocery store and pick up garlic bread for dinner. However, on my way home from work (after picking up the cleaning) I called him and told him that I did not really need garlic bread because it was too much of a hassle to go get that one item from the grocery store. So sorry. No garlic bread -- but who really needs garlic bread, right? No, wrong.
Jess proceeds to ask me if I was sure I didn't want garlic bread (he knows I LOVE garlic bread) and I said, "Yah honey, don't worry about it. Unless you want to get it -- but I am ok." In my heart I was thinking, "I love garlic bread but it is 6 p.m., we both had long days at work...let's just let it go."
Needless to write, Jess went to the grocery store and picked up garlic bread and a bouquet of flowers for me. He is awesome.
The End.
