Today my little Sister turns 28 years old. She has turned into an amazing woman and mom -- I am super proud of her and all that she has accomplished. As we have gotten older we have gotten closer, thank goodness. When we were younger we were not cruel to each other -- but definitely did not get along the best. A few stories come to mind...
Once when I was in sixth grade and my sister was in third grade, and we were both in bed for the night, I thought I heard an animal in the attic. It was kind of late at night but my parents were still up, so I got out of bed and told them that I heard something in the attic. Our dad came back to my room and listened and didn't here anything. So I went back to bed and he left. Then I heard it again. I got up again and proceeded to tell my parents there was an animal in the attic -- either that or hail. At this point, this is where Katie starts laughing in her bedroom. She had been tapping on the walls the whole time.
Another time, shortly after the tapping incident, I wanted to get her back. So I stayed up in my room until my parents had gone to sleep. I then went into the kitchen and filled a cup with warm water and went into her room. She was asleep and I put her hand in the water to make her wet the bed. However, she did not wet the bed and started to wake up. I proceeded to panic and then as best as I could pour the water into her bed to make her think that she wet her bed. Well -- this did not work so well -- she woke up, my parents got up, our Mom was upset, and I had to apologized. I remember our Dad laughing at my prank gone wrong...
Love you Sister! Hope you have a great birthday! I am excited for our sons to meet in two weeks!
